cd drive stuck?

when i try to manually eject the computer freezes and i have to switch off

Make and model of computer and/or cd drive?

What if you try to eject it through software (My computer - "right click" on the drive icon and select "eject".

BTW, you have to push a little hard for the manual eject to work. Not a LOT hard, just a little hard. Harder than you would flush the toilet.
