Mend Craftsman LT4000 Put Mower Would Help

how to put on a new selenoid on my riding mower pictures would help ?

its a craftman modle LT 400012.5 hp with a 42 in deck
a nwe one was put on and when the battery was connected it sparked and smoked a bit no raw wires anywhere i can see just need some help
