hi try your thermastat switch i had a similar problem on my fiesta and it solved it straight away if it isnt that it could be the fan take of the themastat lead located by the block and stick a piece of thin wire between the two holes if the fan works it is your thermastat.

I'm Having the same trouble with a mondeo 1.6. The problem is that the fan isn't working. Hope thats all it is. Check ur fan.
