some time's my new ram on my IBMthinkpad 600 work's some time it don't ,how do I fix it. is read 288.something sometime's need to read this all the time

Make sure that when you fitted the new ram that you fitted it correctly into the locking tabs. Take out the ram and clean the contact area with a pencil eraser and re-insert. Check that you have saved the update to the ram in the bios. Verify that it is the correct memory for you machine.
