replace spindle assembly?

NOTE; GRASSHOG NST2018 (TYPE ONE) takes SPINDLE ASSEMBLY PART # as listed above, and the grasshog cordless NST2018 (TYPE 2) takes SPINDLE ASSEMBLY part # 5104168-00

HELLO you need to remove the black plastic GUARD 1st..its held on by 5-6 screws that are black . Then try to open the 2 ORANGE HALVES of the grass hog..remove the screws. I had trouble trying to open the 2 halves, but then remove a small clip on top of the spindle. DON'T loose it or the washer under it. The spindle then pulls out from the bottom..pull on it hard to remove. The new spindle is part # 243245-00.
