Mend Frigidaire FFA70 Compressor Defrost Refrigerator

freezer high temp?

My FFa70 f/freezer keeps displaying the freezer high temp light intermittently. The freezer defrosted last week but later re-froze. We have heard cracking sounds coming from the back of the appliance but cannot trace them. The compressor does run hot as to be expected. Any advice would be gratefully received.
