Unless you have a VERY early Vantage there are no points. If there ARE points under the flywheel, either replace them with an electronic module (I have them for £8 - will fix problem IF the coil is sound), or replace the entire coil assembly with a new solid state version (I have them also for £20 - this will fit ANY engine with the coil mounted outside the flywheel, points or not).
It is also likely you wll need to strip & clean the carburettor.
Good thing about either solution is that you never have to remove the flywheel again!
