newish fridge not getting cold?

This fridge isn't very old at all (haven't got the guarantee or receipt) March 09. It makes all the right noises when we turn it on and it doesn't get cold. The small freezer compatrment does get a bit cold. Could turning it upside down for a while help - I know when we were camping in France, the site people used to do this to theirs when they stopped working. Not sure for how long though. It has been moved and unused for a couple of months so could this have anything to do with it. It is a Fridgedaire R5303B.
