How do i change the blade belt on a snapper riding lawn mower

I am unsure of the easy or proper way. I just unbolted the engine slid it back( while it was standing up) looped belt around pully pushed engine forward and rebolted. It was a little hassle but done in about 10 mins. Hope this helps and maybe someone will post the correct way. Also, be sure to bend in your tabs on the front pulleys.
