How can i get my sony trinitron tv to show the picture?

same shit happens to mine. the way i get it to work is unplug it and wet the prongs a little, plug it back in slowly and if u hear the static electricity on the screen it worked. but for some reason u onely get two chances to get it to work every half hour. if u get get it to work i sugest never turn the tv off again or u will have the same prob. i know it all sounds wierd but it works, thats what i do

had the same problem 2 years ago rang sony who referred to the dealers who fixed the switch at a cost of £100 with 6 months gurantee but within 3 days the problems kept coming back the dealer did not want to know said keep switching on and off till the picture come this has lasted for 2years but sadly the picture no longer comes now i have a great big tv insurance does not cover the breakdown the company does not want to accept that there might have been a manufacture's fault as many people with sony tv's have said getting together with various people might enable to get sony to accept the blame and fix the problem
