Mend Electrolux EDC77550W Change Door Opening

How do I change the door opening direction?

I have an Electrolux Inspire Condensing tumble dryer - EDC77550W. I'm trying to change the door opening direction and have now lost the latch mechanism into the front wall of the dryer. How do I get the front off the dryer or get into that space to retreive it?
