Mend Dell D600 Laptop Press Power Battery

Can you help with my dell d600 laptop?

Ok. so i was on it then bang. it shuts down. So i press the power button and nothing happens. The battery still has some juice but it wont power on. If i plug my ac adapter in the green light on the ac adapter will go off and i will have to unplug and plug it back in.
