first find the top dead center mark on front bottom pulley (crankshaft pulley) then at the rear of the injector pump in the center between the injector pipe outlets theres a service bolt remove this then you incert a dti guage turn the engine anti clock wise until the pump travel plunger stops moving then set up dti guage and pre load it to at least 1 then turn engine to tdc now read the dti guage the setting should be 0.9 if different then slacken the pump and adjust til it reads 0.9 whilst the crank shaft is at tdc hope this helps

Hi Jack,
set crankshaft to 12deg BTDC for #1 cylinder
remove coupling sleeve on pump
turn pump pinion until missing tooth is aligned with the outlet pipe for #1 cylinder
turn pump pinion clockwise until resistance is felt (start of injection)
refit coupling sleeve
