Leaking waterbutt?

if the leak is comming from the join underneath turn the butt unside down make sure thinks are very dry then use arldite, leave to set for 2 hours on a sunny day. remember some of those watter butts come with a 2 year waranty.

Where's it leaking from Simon? I've got a loose tap in one (which I'll use PTFE tape to hopefully cure) and a crack in another which I'm looking for a suitable waterproof sealant for.

Not as easy as you would think, due to the oiliness of the type of plastic used...if there is a crack in it, a fibreglass repair kit from Halfords or similar could do the trick, but the area covered would need to be heavily scratched to provide a key for the resin.
