Mend KitchenAid K5SS Mixer Gears

How to remove 4 large screws on a K5SS kitchenaid mixer?

Gears are making loud noise. Having a hard time taking mixer apart. Is there a special way to remove the 4 large screws that hold the mixer to the stand on a K5SS kitchenaid? Can't get them loose with a screw phillips screw driver.

Use a 1/4" or 3/8" drive ratchet, w/extention, and a #3 (maybe a #4) Phillips driver in 1/4" or 3/8" drive, and unscrew it like any other screw.
