Mend Renault Master Open Problem

2005 Renault Master bonnet won't open ?

The bonnet is closed and will not open when the release is pulled. I suspect there is a problem with the release mechanism, but without the bonnet open I obviously can't get to the problem. So how can I get under the bonnet?
