My ford transit van timing belt had snap, the posh rod is bend and one of the tappet broken in two. (1.) where would i find the timing points and pump (2) can I re-use the bend rod.? (one)
you will need a timing locking pin set or you can use drill bits as makeshift locking pins.the crank timing pin locates into the flywheel in a hole on rear of engine under fuel filter.fuel pump timing pin fits when cutout in pulley is in 12.00 o clock position and the cam pulley needs to be locked in the 4.00 o clock position.once these are timed up a new belt and tensioner can be fitted.you can straighten and use the old pushrod again and readjust clearances
