ps,the auto tensioner is below the p.a.s pump and i think the earlier tensioners were a 3/8 sq.drive and the later were 1/2 sq.dr.Think you lever the tensioner to the o/s of the veh,fit belt and release

I am guessing it is a 2.4l,these have auto tensioners on and it would suggest the belt is wrongly routed,did you draw a diagram before you removed the belt because it is a very long belt with seven or eight different pulleys and can be routed different ways.
