Mend Hotpoint EW81 Double Oven

How do I fix my Hotpoint EW81 Halogen Double Oven?

The top oven on my oven has stopped working after a whuring noice and a bit of a bang. I have taken the back off and found a burnt out light bulb and socket at the back of the top oven.The code on this light socket is 27250 or 79.210
Could replacing this cure the problem?

try turning it back on without the bulb at first after removing it and if it works then replace the bulb
