Mend Ravenheat RSF 820/20 Boiler Pilot Heating

Ravenheat 820 won't re-light for longer than 30 seconds. What should I do?

My Ravenheat RSF 820/20 gas combi boiler will fire up for a short time then it goes out and even the pilot light goes out. Despite resetting the pilot each time still no luck with the little blue light. do I need to buy a part? get in a plumber? Any ideas gratefully received.....thanks

hi, the problem seems to be the thermocouple, this is the item that keeps the pilot light on, and is a safety device for the gas system,you need to check that the flame of the pilot light is directed on to the [ wire like rod ] at the pilot light area, and it should be red hot,if not then this will be the problem, i am sure this is the problem anyway. bob ps do not PLAY with gas!
