Mend Dvd Player Appears

How can i fix my dvd player?

We have a used dvd player. IT appears fuzzy and we have cleaned the eye but it still fuzzes. There is fuzz and then it clears up and then it fuzzes again. Is there a chance that the eye is lopsided? Is it just dirty? Help!
