How do I get out of safe mode on start up?

I have a e-system EI 3103 laptop. I was trying to change settings but being a novice, somehow or other I have managed to get stuck in safe mode. I press f8 and enter a list of options. The only one that works is directory services restore mode. This allows me to do the basics, I can e-mail etc, but it is obviously restricting full use. I am now unable to use my printer, which I was able to before I messed with things. Be really grateful for some help guys!
