maytag performa top load washer runs cold water when off?

I found the washer leaking small amounts water about 2 months ago, pulled the machine away from the wall, took off the hoses to the back of the machine, it was the cold water, swept out the oriface in the washer and turned on the machine to make sure it was open and free of debri, and reapplied hoses and it was fixed. Now it is doing it again, and it is leaking much faster, I went through the same fix, and it isn't working this time. What is wrong with it, it is still the cold water that is leaking when the machine is off.This machine is only 9 months old. Help
