Gainsborough 10.5 Deluxe - Steam from showerhead?

Hi folks,

I have a Gainsborough 10.5 Deluxe (about 18 months old) and have a problem with flow from the shower head. On some occasions, the flow stops and out comes the steam. I don't like being steam cleaned!

Does anyone have any ideas what the problem might be?
