Mend Caravan Cooker Repair

How can I fix the knob on my caravan gas hob?

The switch on one ring of my 3 ring caravan gas hob is not working.
It is one of those which you have to hold in for a while as you light it. The hob does light but when you let go of the knob it goes out.
