Mend Hotpoint Oven Cooking Thermostat

why is my hotpoint fan oven cooking too hot?

i have changed the element and thermostat now the fan /main oven is cooking too hot.think maybe that is why element and thermostat needed changing as oven wasnt working at all before i done this.any ideas why please.
