Better to fix it or sell it??

I have a Honda Harmony 216SDA mower.I only paid $80.00 for it A year ago and was told that the trans doesn't always engage.I have newly sodded thick St Augustine grass.Well it lasted last season and now the Self-propel or trans is finished.I took it in and given an estimate of $170.00,Trans,cable,and labor?I am confused as if i should have it repaired or sell as is and purchase another one.Heard this particular model is known for alot of troubles such as wheels locking up and other engine problems.What is your advice as i am just unsure if i should have repaired???
