Canon Gas fire Glass?

How do I get rid of the fog/misty film on the inside of the glass. Water, soap, vinegar do not work. Please help!!

You'll probably have to live with this to some degree, but if you go to a builders merchants that do wood burning stoves, they'll sell you a caustic product that works quite well - for a while anyway. Curiously enough, its made by Stoves.....!
