Mend Veritas Would Alarm Off Not Set

Why would alarm go off (not set)?

I have a veritas house alarm which i do not use, it have gone off 3 times in the last 2 days, however it was not set.

If i need it serviced who would i get for something like that?

A lot of money after my Aunt was charge £200 for a new battery.
If you are not using it then find the fuse unit it works from on the mains and disconnect it.
