Mend Ford Mercury Cougar XR7 1997 Going Lock Doors Key

how can I stop my alarm from going off on a 97 merc cougar XR7?

If I lock the doors with the key fob the alarm starts going off after a few seconds. recently the alarm has been going off on its own. It will happen while driving down the road and actually shut the car down. The only way so far to stop it is to disconnect the battery. Makes it hard to get anywhere.

Just take out the fuse under the driver fuse box. Of course then your alarm, nor your electronic locks will work. You will have to lock it manually.
