how can i fix renault megane air con unit?

im an engineer in this industry and what keith said is right, run it for 30 mins a month and you should be fine. dont listen to garages when they say it should be re-gassed every year, thats just a money making scam and it gives us engineers a bad name when they do this.

have same car and i was told that it has to be charged every year had mine regassed last year and now have the same problem

sounds like it's lost is charge of gas in the refrigeration circuit. could be a leaky hose or condenser but usuall it leaks out pump seals as it has not been used should run the air con for 20 mins every month to keep the seals in good order. try having it regassed about£40-50
