What 2 cycle oil to use for Craftsman 32cc Trimmer?

The product manual suggests using a synthetic 2-cycle oil. However, I recently moved overseas and the only 2-cycle oil available is not synthetic. Can I use a standard 2-cycle oil in lieu of the synthetic without damaging the trimmer engine?
