No Such Animal 50B is a 50,000 Balanced Flue floor standing kitchen boiler, to the best of my knowlege based on Thirty Five years in the Boiler Servicing Industry a 500B has never been made

Perhaps you also have a Baxi boiler without knowing it...

Potterton began making boilers in 1902
De La Rue bought Poterton in 1944
Myson began in 1950
Birmid Qualcast bought Potterton 1973
Myson bought Thorn EMI Heating in January 1986
Blue Circle Industries bought Birmid Qualcast in 1988
Blue Circle acquired Myson in 1990
Baxi bought Blue Circle's heating division in 2000

There are too many other complications to be clear but names such as Valor, Williams Holdings plc, Newmond plc and Baxi Holdings plc also crop up.
