LAWN MOWER WANT FIRE?

I HAVE A LAWN MOWER THAT IS ABOUT 3 OR 4 YEARS OLD. IT IS A CRAFTSMAN MODEL NO. 917378070. IT APPEARS TO HAVE NO POINTS. THIS ENGINE WILL NOT FIRE. CAN ANYONE SUGGEST WHAT IS WRONG AND WHAT I CAN DO.

Your machine will indeed have electronic ignition, and all of the components are actually in the coil pack, on the outside of the flywheel. Ascertain if you are getting a spark by laying the plug on a metal part of the engine and cranking it over....if no spark, check that the cut out switch isn't on, then replace the coil. If there is a spark, then it looks like a fuel issue.
