Mend Smell Car Inside

smell of petrol?

over the past two days,when getting into my car i can smell petrol inside the car! why is this please?

Either there is a small petrol leak under the bonnet of the car due to a perished fuel pipe, or maybe the breather pipe from the fuel tank has become blocked - unlikely though! Get your car up on a ramp if you can and have a good look at all of the pipes from the tank to the engine, not forgetting the fuel filter.
