Mini One central locking?

My mini you have to go to the passenger side and lock it by the switch on the dash... How do I fix it??? Mini one 2002

Hi all who have problems with their Mini One central locking. I too have the same problem which i'm getting fixed. The solinoides in the door need replacing, i'm afraid it can be a couple of hundred pounds and that's without labour and VAT costs.This according to research and my mechanic from BMW Mini, is a design fault of the Mini One from 02-06, later versions seem to be fine.
I love my Mini but will be trading him in for a Honda Civic. Shame!

i have the same problem in this period quite cold my Mini one 2002 doors cannot be locked even using the key in the door handle. After a while doors can be locked (after several attemps) also sometimes , while driving I i hear a little noise on both doors of a mechanism trying to lock the doors. so far i do not have any idea
