How can I turn on my box when it has switched off?

My box switched itself off last Monday 4th May, and I can't turn it back on. I have tried switching it off at the plug several times, but it will not come on again. The red light is just flashing all the time. It won't switch on by pushing the button on the box or remote control. I had a phone message to contact this helpline. What do I do?

You do not mention the make or model of your box but lots of people suffered S/W problems with their Thompson DTi 6300 boxes on Sunday Monday last - if your box is one of those use the search facility on this page for Thompson.
