Vauxhall Astra Convertible 1.6 2004 Roof Problem?

I have an astra convertible on an 04 plate, the roof has stoped working on it and it just bleeps whenever it is unlocked, locked, ignition is put on, handbrake taken off, and roof button is pressed but nothing else happens the boot also wont work on the central locking and this happened exactly the same time so think it is probably conected. i have been told from someone that he had same problem butgot it sorted for £40.00 at a convertible specialist, ive also noticed that the hydraulic fluid for the hood is below minimum but dont no how to top it up or wot with ? there is nothing in the book that tell you how to. Any help would be greatly appreciated ????
