oil problems?

i have a 04 astra 1.6 sxi twinport and im going through about 5 litres of oil every 4 weeks or so. can anyone suggest what is causing this so im not going to the garage clueless and getting ripped off?

if you don`t have a leak then the engine must be using the oil internally.Is it throwing out blue smoke on fast accelleration or on first start up,if so it may mean the head to come off for a look at valve stem seals/rings/head gasket etc
