Mend Flavel Aspen 50 Ignition Ignite Problem

my oven won't stay on after ignition ?

when i ignite my oven and hold in the knob the oven will light as soon as i release the knob the flame goes out. what is the problem? It's a flavel aspen 50.

Your oven needs a new thermocouple, Nick - its the metal bulb like thing that gets heated up by the pilot flame. This is a fail safe device that holds the gas on - and turns it off again should the flame extinguish for some reason.
