Mend Briggs & Stratton 28M707 Great Fuel Turns

13 hp brigs 28m707 ran great until it ran out of fuel?

now it turns over and starts but chugs white smoke and then stalls, it was running fine but I was doing the annual plugs and feul filter then whamo the issue happend...help please

i changed the oil which was 50 50 gas and oil put another spark plug in it and it fired right up no smoke after a few minutes?
