Mend Kirby G4 Belt Not Seem

the belt does not seem to be catching ?

I have a kirby G4. I tried to clean my carpets but the carpet cleaner base part does not seem to be catching the belt so the roller does not turn. I tried putting back on my regular vacuum bar and it does not see to catch the belt either & that bar wont turn. What am I missing?
