Nintendo DS Lite wont start up?

i had the same problem with my ds,i found it to be a connection problem with the screen link cable,i replaced this and my ds now works!the cables can be bought very cheaply on ebay,but you will need to have a tiny tri wing screw driver to take your ds apart,one thing ill add from my experience is study how the cable runs through the hinge before removal (it loops around in a tubular fashion)or you will very quickly have the same problem again,hope this helps
