Mend Fit Replacement Unit

How can I fit a replacement d/g unit?

When trying to fit a replacement window d/g unit the seals won't go back in. We have refitted the outer bead and seal but the inner seal cannot be forced in. [The window unit is the right size!!]

your unit is too thick you will either need to go to a glazing firm for thinner gasket or point it with black silicone

is the thickness of the unit the correct . unit thicknesses go up in 2mm increments i.e 20 22 24 28 etc
please reply as there is more
