Broken tilt "rack and pinion" unit. Where to find a replacement?

My wooden slat venetian blind (Ikea) has a broken "rack and pinion" unit, that opens and closes the wooden slats when turning the attached wooden wand. Ikea and other venetian blind dealers all want me to buy a new venetian blind complete, but I can easily fit a new "rack and pinion" unit, if I could find one. Any ideas where thus unit could be found?
