My Thomson box is still recording but I don't seem to be able to watch television through it anymore! The picture freezes but the sound just carries on as normal. My son also has a Thomson and his froze completely on Sunday night. Not at all amused. Any suggestions?

im sick to death of my box...ive had 5 of them and took every 1 back and in the end i got my cash back, then topuptv gave me a free box the same for 5.00 amonth ...now i regret it because its crap..and im tied to a contract now....
can i get out of it because of the box..

Ours has been doing this since we got it a year or so ago and we were told that it was the aerial so we changed it and took the advice and still it is the same we paid alot of money for this box and are very disappointed with it This problem needs to be dealt with as soon as possible!!

Copy and paste this link on to your explorer bar and youll find your answers there on how to reset your software.
My suggestion( Alternative )
Unplug your box for 20 sec. Press and hold stanby button when plugging it back in. As soon as the light flashes let go and press the up, down, left, right arrow buttons in sequence. Make sure you do it 3 times. The amber light will comeon and the green light will start flashing.. leave for approx 60 sec. Your box should turn on and be back to normal. You might loose your save recordings. Good luck!!!
