Mend Valiant Ecomax 828e Central Works Bath

how can i fix my valiant ecomax 828e?

my central heating works but when i turn on the bath hotwater tap the boiler shuts down and E12 is displayed as the fault this code is repersented in the manual as unit blocked

sounds like the diverter valve or maybe the domestic heat exchanger. needs a boiler engineer sorry not easy to do yourself
