Mend Potterton performa 28i Central Heating Performa

potterton performa 28i C/H but no hot water?

Hi my potterton performa 28i started playing up yeaterday we had no hot water or heating. The plumber called round and said it needed a new pump.........central heating worked but still no hot water. Then he said it needed a new board...still no hot water, so far this has cost £430 and we still dont have any hot water! Any ideas gratefully appreciated. Oh the sensor light is on now!

you need a differential vave or low voltage cable with switch.

Think the problem is more simple than you might think?? I have had the same problem, Change the DHW diaphragm, (Or just take it out and have a look) easy fix

it could either be your dhw sensor (thermistor) which if the sensor light is flashing it will more than likely be that, if not then it will be the dhw flow switch, which operates with the use of a diaphragm these can get worn after a while, that may need replacing, but i would defo try the sensor first
