Mend Vauxhall Astra Twin Top 1600 Problem Locking Open

astra twin top problem with central locking. cant open boot ?

There seems to be some kind of manafacturing fault on my twin top [1600] The boot locking mechanism is now in the locked mode and cannot be opened manually or with the auto key. I live in Cyprus which is a big problem as the last time this happened my car was taken to Nicosia where there seemed to be only one company able to fix this problem. Resulted in hundreds of pounds of repair? over a barrell or what! HELP PLEASE

Hi Again
being fixed today under warranty. seems they feel its now a wiring problem and replacing ALL the wiring!!
But as its in my car and others as well, i would think its a problem with the car, surely several cars can't have exactly the same issue.
should be warranty job, and i would argue that, as I am in Australia and the same thing has happened.

I'm in Australia and mine did this only yesterday. currently at Holden (Opel, Vauxhall) dealer being fixed. seems to be computer problem with it. will let you know the outcome...
