Thanks for your advice, i only got the cooker a couple of months ago but it was second hand. I guess its pointless paying to get it fixed, gonna be safer for me just to buy a new cooker and switch. The wires are completely melted and when we took the switch off the wall there was a mighty stink coming from it. I havnt used the cooker since, too afraid, the wall switch had given me an electric shock the day before it started 'smoking'. Any ideas how much it will cost to get the wall socket fixed, the wires are melted bhind that as well. Any other advice you have on this i would be really grateful.
